Abstract
The elongated styloid process is rare. The syndrome associated with the elongated styloid process was first described by Eagle in 1937.
Most patients remain asymptomatic, but some complain pain and sensation of foreign body in the throat, dysphagia and ipsilateral otalgia.
The symptoms, are secondary to physical irritation of the nerves and vessels which pass close to the tip Hof the styloid process.
Recently, we have experienced a case of ¢¥the styloid process which is protruded into the left tonsil.
